Security and Control in Pakistan?

Lost in the chemical weapons- Hamlet – business was this lovely article describing Pakistan’s claim that they have a “robust control for nuclear arsenal” – This is a bit terrifying because it seems likely that they believe their own press release. While there is no contest for being the most dangerous place in the world- Pakistan sure is setting up a run at it. If you need to lose some sleep considering the security of a nuclear arsenal – look into the stability of Pakistan for a few minutes. ACA has a good piece on this. here. Spend a few minutes talking to Eugene Habinger  (who knows a thing or two about security around nuclear weapons) about the discussions he’s had with the Pakistani army regarding their plan to secure their weapons (hint their plan is lots of guards) and you’ll worry a bit more.
